Eg. through smartphones and social media we are able to see orders of magnitude more ads than before but our shopping quality hasn’t improved.

Many tasks that before would’ve taken hours to achieve now can be done with the click of a button or at least seating down in our computer or with the phone on the go. Eg. paying the bills, sending a letter (now an email or a message). But we still feel like we have not enough time during the day.

The role of information systems is to help us retrieve data faster. But instead they lead to Information obesity and being constantly distracted by social networks (Social networks are fidgets for the mind).
