Framework for easy of writing

I never force myself to do anything I don’t feel like. Whenever I am stuck, I do something else. Niklas Luhmann
The focus should be on developing the tools and framework that enables you to do that. Where writing is the path of least resistance. It should be a flow enabler. Such a framework doesn’t happen by chance, intentionally is key.
Writers often see procrastination as a lack of motivation but there’s never a shortage of interesting topics to research and write about. The real reason is not having developed that framework and being stuck with a suboptimal one, or worse a “disabler” framework.
How you do it matters more than who you are
Making plans and sticking to them, which requires great deals of will power, is often confused with having a (solid) work routine. But plans not only require self-discipline, they also are by definition not flexible.
How do you plan for insight, which, by definition, cannot be anticipated?
Having no plan doesn’t mean an unstructured or disorganized workflow.
The goal is to have a flexible workflow, one that accommodates for insights. It is a system that feeds itself. Finding and insight fuels the work to find the next one, and so on.
Insights -> Ideas -> Progress -> Repeat
