On LYT Notes Issue 28, Nick Milo shared the following:

“You know, like in Harry Potter.”

Silence. A polite smile.

“Harry Potter?”

Nothing.

It turns out, there are still people living in the US who have not heard of Harry Potter.

I mean, I understand if you haven’t cared to read the books or watch the movies…

…but to not even know of it?

What kind of person is this?

This person interviewed President Nixon while Nixon was still president. He has met with several of the Presidents/Chairmen of China. He has advised government officials in several countries. He has written 25 books.

And you’ve never heard of him.

He hasn’t heard of Harry Potter—and—we haven’t heard of him.

What does that mean?

I don’t know exactly…but it makes me want to be a little better.

It makes me want to stop myself from watching Yet-Another-Marvel-Movie.

It makes me question things.

Yes one can get better at consuming content: reading faster, learning to take better notes. Still here’s a ceiling. Which means we have to be smart about the content we consume.

Then, ask yourself the question Then, I ask myself the question:

Am I consuming the content that will get me closer to the goals I want to achieve? Or I’m just watching yet another Netflix TV show mindlessly?
