Philosophy newbie here, at times it feels like the author is saying words for the sake of it.

Flat ontology, ie. no distinction between humans and other types of objects.

I’ve got mixed feelings about the idea that we cannot access the real objects but only their sensual (ie. sensory) version. On one hand there’s much more to everything (objects, historic events, people, animals) than what we can interact with through our senses. On the other hand, when I grab a rock or talk with a person, I’m interacting with the real thing.
