FORTRAN - FORmula TRANslation was successful because it did just that, translate formulas. People already knew the formulas from school, it didn’t require a new way of thinking to learn the language.

People aren’t good at logical thinking, so logically designed languages will always get much less adoption than psychologically designed ones.

Languages should be easy for the non-experts, those are going to be the majority of its users.

Programming languages (artificial languages, human <=> machine) do not improve because we don’t fully understand the communication problem#todo what was it?

Human languages (natural languages, human <=> human) are, to some extent?, really efficient in solving the communication problem.

To create better programming languages we should first properly understand human languages.
