Tell the truth-or, at least, don’t lie

It is often culturally accepted to tell white lies to avoid uncomfortable situations, like making up excuses for not attending to an invitation we just don’t want to attend.

Going through life lying to people, even son politely, leads to a life of lying to oneself. In other words, being truthful to others helps to be truthful to oneself.

By being truthful to ourselves we are able to accept that the world might not be fair but we can take responsibility and change how we approach it, instead of blaming others and expecting the world to accommodate to us.

Any natural weakness or existential challenge, no matter how minor, can be magnified into a serious crisis with enough deceit in the individual, family or culture.
